On Saturday 17 September, from 11 am to 6:30 pm, the emblematic Station District in Haro (La Rioja) will come alive with the second edition of this great winemaking and wine tourism event. In 2015, it was a resounding success, with the seven participating wineries welcoming more than 4,500 visitors. This magnificent result in its debut year garnered the initiative the 2015 Best Of award from Turismo Vitivinícola Bilbao-Rioja. This emblematic location stands out from other world-renowned winemaking regions for its high concentration of wineries with more than one hundred years of history, all located right around the Haro railway station: López de Heredia Viña Tondonia, CVNE, Bodegas Gómez Cruzado, La Rioja Alta S.A., Bodegas Bilbaínas, Bodegas Muga and Bodegas Roda.
The event is promoted by Asociación para el Desarrollo Turístico del Barrio de la Estación (ADT – Association for Tourism Development in the Station District), an association set up by the seven wineries in the Haro Station District in order to promote tourism in the area through joint activities, consolidating this prestigious area as one of the main oenotourism destinations in the world.
